About the Founder - Sunny Singh.
- Born and raised in the UK, Sunny’s earliest memories involve sport. Especially playing football, tennis and cricket, using sports equipment bought by his Grandparents, Tara and Rattan from trips to the family’s former home in Punjab, India. Their values and those of the wider family continue to have a strong influence on Sunny.
- With the unwavering support of his Mother Goodie, Sunny was fortunate to have a Rugby School education and a solid base to develop from. His university years were then spent in sports mad Manchester, so no surprises a career in sports followed. Even during those university years valuable industry experience was gained through paid roles at Manchester United FC, umbro and Hard Rock Cafe.
- Graduating in Retail Marketing (BA Hons.), positions at IMG Football and Leo Burnett Advertising followed culminating in managing McDonald’s UK Olympic and Football Sponsorship Programmes on behalf of the brand. Sunny’s last role in the UK was as Global Head of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship for Frasers Group Brands, including: Dunlop, Slazenger, Everlast, Kangol, Lonsdale & Karrimor, overseeing high-profile, innovative brand activations and partnerships related to: sport, outdoor, music and movies. Partner brands included: Mercedes-Benz, Rolex, HSBC, Hertz, Lanson and Evian.
- During Sunny's career, Brand X Event X Player Partnerships were successfully delivered with: FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championships, UEFA Champions League, FA/England Football Team, Wimbledon and French Open Tennis Championships, England Cricketers, High Profile Boxing and MMA Shows, Olympics, MTV EMAs, V Festival and Warner Bros Movies.
- Sunny relocated to the Middle East in 2014. Firstly, Doha with Qatar Sports Investments, also involving BURRDA Sportswear and from 2018 in Dubai to represent adidas through the brand’s then Business to Business Commercial Partner, Shooting Stars. This has all resulted in a wide network with relationships and new business generated for Sports and Fashion Brands.
- Sunny’s rise through the ranks to become a trusted industry figure has come about through hard work, determination, resilience, being reliable, resourceful, likeable and connected! His unique blend of Sports and Entertainment marketing experience has featured some of the world’s most well-known brands, Events & Personalities.
- Assignments also included being the Sports Business Columnist for leading on-line Business publication, Arabian Gulf Business Insight (AGBI).
- When not representing Collaborate! Sport+Style, Sunny can be found on a padel tennis court, catching up on the latest Premier League football action (especially if Liverpool FC are playing!) or with family.
